Practical softness
Minimuc renovated a characterful 1927 house into a contemporary home where functionality and timeless elegance go hand in hand. The design starts from everyday use and brings the different living moments together into a clear, warm whole with attention to detail and comfort.
For the space between the kitchen units a custom Capetown rug in a grey tone from our sisal collection was chosen. This deliberate choice protects the wooden floor from intensive use while introducing a natural texture that softens the space. The stain-resistant properties make the rug particularly suitable for a kitchen environment, without sacrificing style.
In this way the rug contributes to a homely and functional cooking space, where ease of use and aesthetics reinforce each other, a place where cooking feels like a natural pleasure, shoes off, slippers on.
