There is one golden rule When it comes to coffee stains on your carpet: react quickly! This prevents the coffee from drying out and penetrating deep into the fibers of the carpet, making it more difficult to remove the stain. It is therefore important to take immediate action.
Step 1: Dab with a wet cloth
Take a clean cloth and wet it with cold water. If necessary, add a drop of highly diluted shampoo. Gently dab over the coffee stains without rubbing. Rubbing will only make the stain bigger. Continue dabbing gently for 1 minute until you have absorbed most of the coffee.Step 2: Cold water with shampoo, vinegar or ammonia
If the stain is not completely gone after dabbing with cold water, dampen your cloth again with cold water and add a drop of highly diluted shampoo. In addition, add a few drops of cleaning vinegar or ammonia and gently dab the coffee stain. Note: never use ammonia and vinegar together, as they neutralize each other, making them ineffective.Step 3: Let it dry for a moment
Finally, take a dry cloth and pat away the excess moisture. Then let your rug air dry and your rug will be stain-free again.Removing old coffee stains
