You drop your nail polish on your carpet. Now what? No panic. If you follow the steps below, your carpet will be clean again in no time.

There is one golden rule when it comes to spilling nail polish on your carpet: react quickly! This will prevent the nail polish from drying and soaking deep into the rug's fibers, making it more difficult to remove the stain. So it's important to take action right away.

Step 1: Dabbing with acetone or pure alcohol

Take a clean cloth and wet it with a shot of acetone or pure alcoholBe careful about the nail polish without rubbing. By rubbing, you only make the stain bigger. Continue to gently dab for 1 minute until you have absorbed most of the nail polish.

Step 2: Let it dry for a moment

Finally, take a dry cloth and pat away the excess moisture. Then let your rug air dry and your rug will be stain-free again.
